Overview
Cleaning is the first step towards an effective disinfection or sterilization.
But not all detergents can easily dissolve organic and inorganic soil which interferes with expensive medical instruments and in-turn corrodes them.
Therefore, right formulation of multi-enzymatic detergent with inbuilt corrosion inhibitor will enhance the cleaning process, minimizes instrument damages and make the process efficient.
Product Description
Care begins with soaking in CIDEZYME™ XTRA Multi-Enzymatic Detergent
EFFECTIVE
- 4 Enzymes to effectively breakdown protein, starch, fat and cellulose / fibre and remove bioburden present on patient care instrument
- 3 minutes soak-time allows fast turnaround of instruments, thereby saving inventory costs for compatible patient care instruments
- Only 8 ml per 1 litre of water for manual cleaning
- Only 4 ml per 1 litre of water for an automated system
SAFE
- Low-foaming enables better instrument contact, making cleaning more effective and aids in visualization during cleaning (excessive foaming may reduce the fluid contact area with the patient care instrument and may take more time to rinse and clean)
- Contains corrosion inhibitors to ensure compatibility with medical devices
ASSURANCE
- Bio-degradable cleaning solution, thus safer for our environment
- One-step cleaning solution for both automatic as well as manual cleaning
Role of Enzymes
Proteases
- Proteases take the large insoluble protein molecules from blood and leftover tissues and break them down into smaller, easier-to-remove fragments and therefore are much easier to remove from the patient care instruments.
- Are an important type of enzyme to look for when choosing an enzymatic detergent because of the high content of protein in most types of endoscopy and other patient care procedures
Lipases
- Fat and oil molecules are, in contrast to proteins, not very large but are insoluble in water. Lipases work by hydrolysing ester bonds in fats and oils and hydrolysis produces substances which are water soluble
- Fats and oils are found in feces, body tissues (fat deposits), etc which are present on the contaminated patient care instruments.
Amylases
- Break down starch or carbohydrates found in the body which gets lifted off from the contaminated patient care instrument into the multi-enzymatic detergent solution
- Starch is found in blood, mucus and feces
Cellulases
- Break down cellulose / fibre found in the bio-burden
- Cellulose / fibre is found in the fecal present on the contaminated patient care instrument
